Having completed his ‘A’ levels in Business Studies, Economics and English Literature from the Mill Hill School in London, England, Sajjid graduated as an English Major from St. Xavier’s College, University Of Bombay, with a first class degree. He is backed by a diploma in public relations from the Xavier Institute of Communications, Bombay.
In 1992 Sajjid set up an independent trading house called Far East Trading Company (FETCO). As agents for one of South Korea’s leading Chaebols, M/s Samsung Corporation, FETCO was involved in selling various polyolefin products to some of the largest plastic processing houses in the Indian sub-continent.
In 1999 Sajjid set up polymerupdate.com, India's first real time news and price alert online service. The company has since grown to become a preferred destination for global players seeking plastics and petrochemical intelligence. Swiftly emerging as a world renowned provider of real time news and price alerts spanning a whole spectrum of products, polymerupdate now has a leading industry presence. Products covered include Crude oil, Naphtha, Aromatics, Olefins, Polyolefins, Commodity Polymers, Feedstocks and Petrochemical Intermediates.
Sajjid is a director with Chhagan Mitha, an automobile engineering firm with petroleum retail outlets in the city of Mumbai.
Sajjid is a director of Azul Arc India, a multi media design and technology firm with it's head office located in Georgia, Atlanta, U.S.A..
In 2002 Sajjid was appointed as an Honorary Trade Advisor to the Ministry Of Commerce, Royal Government of Thailand to promote bi-lateral trade between India and Thailand and to enhance the existing relationship shared between both countries. Sajjid continues to hold this post even today.
Sajjid is a member of the ethical committee of the Shroff Eye clinic in India. |

Mr. Arvind M. Mehta has been in plastics industry for nearly 30 years. He is widely traveled abroad and attended a number of exhibitions.
Mr. Arvind M. Mehta was President of The Bombay Fountain Pen Manufacturers & Traders Association for three years (1991-94). He was the President of SPE Indian Section for the year 1995-96, a year which saw many Seminars, conferences and get together. He is connected with Indo German Chamber of Commerce, Indian Plastics Institutes, The Plastics Export Promotion Council and The Indian Institute of Packaging in the past. Earlier he was Hon. Treasurer and then Hon Secretary of the All India Plastics Manufacturers Association an apex body serving the cause of plastics industry and trade in India during which Plastivision India 98 Mega Exhibition of Plastics was held. He is the Vice President of Indo Myanmar Chamber of Commerce & Industries. He is also connected with several cultural and social organizations. He was the Co-Chairman of Marketing Committee Plastindia 97 and Chairman of Administrative Committee in Plastindia 2000. He was the Chairman of The All India Plastics Manufactures Association Seminar Committee and has conducted nearly 60 Seminars, Lectures, Talks etc. on plastics across the country very successfully. He was the President of the All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association for three years (1999-2002). |
