Butadiene plant operated at full rates by Tonen General - Mar 10th, 2011 [03:50]
An industry source based in Japan informed a polymerupdate team member that a butadiene plant operated by Tonen General, Japan is running at full rates.
The source said, "since mid last month, the plant is operational at full rates. A steady demand exists for the product in the domestic markets. The plant is planned to undergo a maintenance turnaround in early July 2012. The shutdown is expected to remain in force for around one month.”
The source added, “the last turnaround at the plant had been carried out from mid August till first week of October 2010.”
The source further stated, “located at Kawasaki, Japan, the plant has a production capacity of 250,000 mt/year.”
