PTA plant to be taken offstream by Siam Mitsui - Mar 17th, 2011 [06:00]
An industry source based in Thailand informed a polymerupdate team member that a PTA plant operated by Siam Mitsui PTA Company Ltd, Thailand is planned to be taken offstream.
The source said, "a maintenance turnaround is planned to be undertaken at the plant in mid April. The plant will remain shut for around one month. At present, the plant is running at full rates.”
The source added, "the company operates a PTA plant in Rayong Province, Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate comprising of the No.1 and No.2 PTA lines with capacities of 500,000 mt/year each and the No.3 PTA line with a capacity of 400,000 mt/year."
