Toluene prices in Europe decline - Mar 14th, 2011 [06:35]
Toluene prices slumped in Europe last week. As demand for spot cargoes slowed, sellers had little choice but to drop their offer prices. On Friday, FOB Rotterdam prices were assessed at the USD 1050/mt levels, a week on week drop of USD 20/mt. Even after slashing their offer prices in response to the sluggish buying trends, the purchase mood failed to lift. Bids from buyers were tentatively pegged at levels below the USD 1035/mt FOB Rotterdam mark.
