Exxelor
PA 609N has been developed to improve the stiffness and dead fold
characteristics of regular polypropylene and make the film behave like
cellophane. In addition, it can be used to improve the barrier
properties, sealability and optical characteristics of a regular
homopolymer polypropylene, adding further attributes to this polyolefin
for the packaging industry. |

What
is Exxelor PA 609N ? |
|
It
is a performance modifier designed for use in blends with regular
homopolymer polypropylene. It is specially developed and designed to
blend easily with polypropylene. It can be dry blended with
polypropylene, with the resulting blend then being fed into the
extruder. It can also be introduced directly into the extruder via a
separate weight feeder. The blend processes exceptionally well on both
oriented and non oriented extrusion lines, with the processing window
for extrusion and orientation significantly enlarged. |

PA
609N improves the twist retention of BOPP films, providing a high
quality alternative to cellophane, cast polypropylene,
unplasticized PVC or HDPE. |
|
Stiffness |
| Film
stiffness can be increased by up to 50% allowing downgauging or better
film processability. |
