IOTEK
3110 is a sodium ionomer, which offers :
- good mechanical strength
- excellent clarity and gloss
- excellent hot tack and seal strength
- easy processability
- low odor
Due to its outstanding clarity and melt strength, Iotek 3110 is the
resin of choice for skin packaging and thermoforming applica-tions. Its
excellent oil resistance and high hottack make it a top performer in
demanding sealing applications. Its rheological characteristics and high
thermal stability offer good flow properties in coextrusion with e.g. PA
and EVA.Its excellent puncture resistance, also at low temperatures,
makes it a valuable component of deep-freeze film structures. Its
stiffness and flex resistance make it an ex-cellent material in
demanding molding applications such as shoe reinforcements. |
Blown
film : 180-230°C.
Higher processing temperatures favor the
optical properties.
Warning:
To minimize corrosion risk, all exposed metal surfaces in the extruder
and die should be made from corrosion resistant metals or nickel/chrome
plated.
Iotek 3110 should be fed into the extruder after LDPE of a similar or
higher melt index. Machines should always be completely purged with LDPE
or a suitable cleaning compound before shutdown.
Cation containing polymers pick up moisture from the atmosphere if
exposed for prolonged periods. It is therefore recommended to
re-seal tightly the package after each production run molding. |
