LOTEK

LOTEK 7030 (Ethylene Acrylic Acid Zinc  IONOMER)

Key features

Recommended processing conditions and resin handling
IOTEK 7030 is a low melt-index zinc ionomer,
primarily intended for molding applications.

It is typically used for injection moulding of rigid parts with good surface finish. good combination of processability and mechanical properties.

Processing conditions:
IOTEK 7030 can be processed on equipment normally used for LDPE.
Melt temperature : 200 - 230 °C

Warning:

To minimize corrosion risk, all exposed metal surfaces in the extruder and die should be made from corrosion resistant metals or nickel/chrome plated.

Iotek 7030 should be fed into the extruder after LDPE of a similar or higher melt index. Machines should always be completely purged with LDPE or a suitable cleaning compound before shutdown.

Cation containing polymers pick up moisture from the atmosphere if exposed for prolonged periods. It is therefore recommended to re-seal  tightly the package after each production run molding.
