IOTEK
8000 is a low melt-index zinc ionomer, which offers :
- - an optimal combination of stiffness, proc-essability and
flex-life properties
- outstanding clarity and gloss
It is typically used for sheet production and for injection moulding or
profile extrusion of stiff high clarity parts.
It's excellent melt strength and toughnessmake the grade also useful for
thermoforming and deep draw applications.
Melt temperature : 200 - 230 °C
Processing conditions :
IOTEK 8000 can be processed on equip-ment normally used for LDPE.

Warning:
To minimize corrosion risk, all exposed metal surfaces in the extruder
and die should be made from corrosion resistant metals or nickel/chrome
plated.
Iotek 8000 should be fed into the extruder after LDPE of a similar or
higher melt index. Machines should always be completely purged with LDPE
or a suitable cleaning compound before shutdown.
Cation containing polymers pick up moisture from the atmosphere if
exposed for prolonged periods. It is therefore recommended to
re-seal tightly the package after each production run . |
