Styrene Monomer (SM) prices gain $10 in Asia
On Tuesday, SM prices were assessed higher in Asia.
An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, “Prices rose on the back of strong buying trends in the region.”
The source added, “Gains in upstream benzene prices further supported the price rise.”
FOB Korea SM prices on Tuesday were assessed at the USD 1080-1090/mt levels, a rise of USD (+10/mt) from Monday's assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices on Tuesday were assessed at the USD 1085-1095/mt levels, a day on day gain of USD (+10/mt).
Meanwhile, upstream benzene prices on Tuesday were assessed at the USD 950-960/mt FOB Korea levels, an increase of USD (+15/mt) from Monday.
