Plastics are versatile, durable and cheap, which has lead to the boom it has seen in developing countries like India. It is used to manufacture or pack products. After the completion of its intended use, it is discarded and this discarded plastic is known as plastic waste. Since plastic waste has nowhere to go, over a period of time it is either dumped carelessly on landfills or in rivers from where it ends up in the ocean. This leads to directly & indirectly adversely affecting environment, marine life, wildlife, and us, humans. But this can avoided, plastics are recyclable, which means it can be converted back into granules and can again be used to manufacture or pack products. This is Circular Economy of Plastic Waste and using recycled plastic help promote Zero Waste to Landfill model, reduces emission of Green House Gas (GHG) like Carbon Dioxide (CO2), contributes towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and most importantly, reduces the adverse effect of plastic on environment, marine life, wildlife, and on us, humans.
Recycled PolypropylenePolypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications including packaging and labelling, textiles (e.g., ropes, thermal underwear and carpets), stationery, plastic parts and reusable containers of various types, laboratory equipment, loudspeakers, automotive components. Major grades of PP are homopolymer, random copolymer and impact copolymer. Homopolymer is used in applications such as injection and blow moulding, IPP and BOPP films, woven sacks, FIBC and fibres. Random copolymer grades are used to meet critical requirements of injection and blow-moulded clear containers, pipes and fittings and ISBM bottles. Impact Copolymer grades are used in applications such as automotive, appliances, furniture, paint pails, caps and closures, luggage, crates and compounding.
Recycled High-density PolyethyleneHigh-density polyethylene (HDPE) grades are specially designed to meet demanding applications like high-pressure pipes, telecom ducts, carrier bags, woven sacks, and injection and blow-moulded products.
Recycled Low-density PolyethyleneLow Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is commonly used in the plastic processing industry to make a variety of products such as packaging films, sheets, boxes, toys, surgical equipment, etc. LDPE grades find extensive use in heavy-duty films, lamination films, extrusion coating and moulding applications.
