ICL Industrial Products Announces Price Increases for its Range of Flame Retardants Products

BEER-SHEVA, Israel, October 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ICL Industrial Products announced a global price increase for a range of flame retardants. Prices will increase by 15-30 percent effective October 15, 2005, or as contracts allow. The price increase shall be applicable for the following products:

- FR-1524 (Tetrabromo bisphenol-A),
- FR- 1210 (Decabromodiphenyl oxide),
- FR-1206 (hexabromocyclododecane),
- FR-613 (tribromophenol),
- FR-803P (brominated polystyrene)
- FR-245 (Tris(tribromophenyl) triazine),
- FR-513 (tribromo neopentyl alcohol),
- FR-522 (dibromo neopentyl alcohol),
- FR-720 (Tetrabromobisphenol-A,Bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether)),
- F-2000 and F-3000 series of brominated epoxy oligomers.
The company said that existing market conditions of supply and demand, as well as further increases in energy costs warrant this price adjustment. The company further stated that these price adjustments are required to bring products profitability to a level supporting reinvestments to ensure continuous supply to customers.

These flame retardants are used in numerous applications ranging from plastics such as polyolefins and styrenics to polyurethanes and engineering thermoplastics
