Effective October 1st, 2005, BASF is increasing its prices for Ultramid® base polymers, for polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 extrusion and spinning grades in Europe by 100 Euro per metric ton. This measure has been rendered necessary by the extraordinarily sharp increase in feedstock prices.

The extrusion and spinning grades in BASF’s polyamide portfolio with trade name Ultramid® are used for the production of food packaging films and for fibers.
