Pertamina Ensures Fuel is Safe in East Kalimantan

Petrochemical industry | 02 Dec 2019 IST | Polymerupdate.com
Pertamina ensures that fuel oil in all of East Kalimantan is in a safe condition even though there are indications that there are queues of tronton trucks at several gas stations in Balikpapan and Samarinda.

Pertamina Kalimantan Region Communication, Relations and CSR Manager Heppy Wulansari explained that the distribution of Solar Subsidies and Premium in the East Kalimantan region was running normally and there was no reduction in volume, particularly Balikpapan and Samarinda.

"Distribution of Solar Subsidies for Balikpapan averaged 97 kilos liters per day and Premium averaged 106 kilos liters per day. While for Samarinda Solar Subsidies averaged 152 kilos liters per day and Premium around 148 kiloliters per day. Until now there has been no reduction in volume BBM and distribution according to normal volume, "Heppy stressed.

Responding to the queue of tronton trucks in Balikpapan and Samarinda, Heppy explained that even though there was a queue, there were still stocks at gas stations.

"For this queue it is still a separate issue because regulations do allow tronton trucks to consume Solar Subsidies. This queue occurs because truck drivers on average already know the arrival schedule of Tank Cars carrying Solar shipments to the gas station, resulting in queues at those hours "Heppy explained

To ensure that subsidized BBM is right on target, Pertamina continues to make various efforts, among others: routine socialization of regulations related to the provision of subsidized fuel distribution to gas stations, monitoring and visiting inspection to gas stations, giving strict sanctions to gas stations that have been proven to violate the distribution of subsidized fuel, requiring gas stations install CCTV and coordinate with the authorities.

Even in the near future, Pertamina will immediately digitize gas stations and implement a solar survey system for data collection of every vehicle that fills diesel with online applications in several gas stations that have a lot of mining / industries in the vicinity.

The Solar Subsidy and Premium Quota for East Kalimantan are determined by the Government at 237,848 kilo liters and 330,148 kilo liters respectively. During January to October 2019, it was noted that consumption of Solar Subsidies in East Kalimantan reached 209,294 kilo liters. This figure is over 6% compared to the current year's quota. As for Premium, it was realized at 281,028 kilo liters and was already over 2% of the current year's quota.

Pertamina continues to urge the public and all parties to report to the authorities if there are indications of irregularities in subsidized fuel. The public can also inform Pertamina if there is a lack of good service or if there is fraud occurring at the gas station through the call center at number 135.
