Styrene monomer (SM) prices witness a fall in Asia
SM prices edged lower in Asia on Thursday.
An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, “Prices dropped amid sluggish demand in the Asian region.”
On Thursday, FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at the USD 905-915/mt levels, down USD (-5/mt) from Wednesday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices on Thursday were assessed at the USD 915-925/mt levels, a drop of USD (-5/mt) from Wednesday.
Meanwhile, upstream benzene prices on Thursday were assessed at the USD 730-740/mt FOB Korea levels, a day on day rise of USD (+5/mt).
