Ethylene prices trend upward in Asia on tight supply and firm energy costs

On Wednesday, ethylene prices in Asia continued to rise, tracking higher upstream energy values.
Prices were further supported as several Asian producers cut operating rates due to raw material shortages amid the intensifying conflict in West Asia.
CFR South East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1275-1285/mt levels, a rise of USD (+30/mt) from Tuesday’s assessed levels.
CFR North East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1275-1285/mt levels, a day-on-day increase of USD (+30/mt).
