Styrene monomer (SM) prices fall in Asia
On Wednesday, Asian SM prices fell sharply in line with softer naphtha values.
Weaker benzene feedstock costs, coupled with sluggish market momentum, further supported the price decline.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1070-1080/mt levels, a sharp drop of USD (-40/mt) from Tuesday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1060-1070/mt levels, a plunge of USD (-50/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene feedstock prices were assessed at USD 885-895/mt levels, a sharp day-on-day fall of USD (-45/mt).
