Styrene Monomer (SM) prices gain in parts of Asia
On Thursday, Asian SM prices rose in Korea, while they remained stable in China.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1190-1200/mt levels, up USD (+15/mt) from the previous day. Higher benzene feedstock values and healthy regional buying activity contributed to the uptrend.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1160-1170/mt levels, unchanged from the previous day. Prices remained unchanged amid subdued regional market conditions.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene prices were assessed at USD 1000-1010/mt levels, a gain of USD (+15/mt) from the previous day.
