Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) prices decline in Europe

14 Nov 2025 14:00 IST
This week, PVC prices journeyed southward in Europe.

An industry source informed a Polymerupdate team member, “The price decline was driven by weak demand sentiment and ample supply, with lower ethylene feedstock costs adding further downward pressure. Market participants expect the current situation to continue through the rest of the year. Meanwhile, buying momentum has slowed, with many traders focused on clearing their inventories ahead of year-end.”

In the spot markets, FD North West Europe PVC prices were assessed at the Euro 805-815/mt levels, a week-on-week fall of Euro (-5/mt).

In the contract markets, PVC Suspension grade prices were assessed at the Euro 935-940/mt FD NWE Germany and FD NWE France levels, both decreased by Euro (-5/mt) from last week. PVC Suspension grade prices were assessed at the Euro 945-950/mt FD NWE Italy levels, down Euro (-5/mt) from the previous week. Meanwhile, PVC prices were assessed at the GBP 825-830/mt FD NWE UK levels, steady week-on-week.

Meanwhile, feedstock EDC prices were assessed at the USD 85-95/mt FOB North West Europe levels while VCM prices were assessed at the USD 505-515/mt FOB North West Europe levels, both unchanged from last week.

Ethylene spot prices were assessed at the Euro 595-605/mt FD North West Europe levels, stable from the previous week.
