This week, HDPE spot prices climbed, while contract prices rolled over in Europe.
A European industry source told a Polymerupdate team member, “HDPE spot prices in Europe continued to rise as supply remained tight and material availability was limited as the month of January drew to a close. Reduced volumes across several grades, caused by production disruptions and maintenance activity at key plants, supported the price gains. Producers maintained stable operating rates, focusing on fulfilling long-term contract commitments rather than supplying the spot market.”
