This week, HDPE prices marched higher in Europe.
A European industry source told a Polymerupdate team member, “The European HDPE spot and contract markets strengthened as buyers raised bids, supported by steady orders and restocking. Tight supplier inventories carried over from the previous period added support, while overall demand remained stable despite some converters drawing on existing stocks. Sentiment for March was positive, with expectations of stronger buying interest. Contract prices rose on firmer supplier offers amid tighter supply and fewer low-priced offers.”

In the spot markets, HDPE Film grade prices were assessed at Euro 925-935/mt FD North West Europe levels, a rise of Euro (+20/mt) from last week. HDPE BM grade prices were assessed at Euro 925-935/mt FD North West Europe levels while HDPE injection grade prices were assessed at Euro 945-955/mt FD North West Europe levels, both gained by Euro (+20/mt) from the previous week.

In the contract markets, HDPE film grade prices were assessed at Euro 1510-1515/mt FD NWE Germany and FD NWE Italy levels, both higher by Euro (+10/mt) week-on-week. HDPE film grade prices were assessed at Euro 1510-1515/mt FD NWE France levels, a gain of Euro (+10/mt) from the previous week. Meanwhile, HDPE film grade prices were assessed at GBP 1315-1320/mt FD NWE UK levels, up GBP (+10/mt) from last week.
In the contract markets, HDPE BM grade prices were assessed at Euro 1490-1495/mt FD NWE Germany and FD NWE Italy levels, both higher by Euro (+10/mt) from last week. HDPE BM grade prices were assessed at Euro 1490-1495/mt FD NWE France levels, week-on-week up Euro (+10/mt). Meanwhile, HDPE BM grade prices were assessed at GBP 1300-1305/mt FD NWE UK levels, a rise of GBP (+10/mt) from the previous week.
In the contract markets, HDPE injection grade prices were assessed at Euro 1460-1465/mt FD NWE Germany and FD NWE Italy levels, both increased by Euro (+10/mt) from last week. HDPE injection grade prices were assessed at Euro 1460-1465/mt FD NWE France levels, higher by Euro (+10/mt) from the previous week. Meanwhile, HDPE injection grade prices were assessed at GBP 1270-1275/mt FD NWE UK levels, a marginal rise of GBP (+5/mt) from last week.
FCA Antwerp HDPE film prices were assessed at Euro 910-950/mt levels while HDPE BM prices were assessed at Euro 910-940/mt levels, both increased by Euro (+20/mt) from last week. Meanwhile, FCA Antwerp HDPE injection prices were assessed at Euro 930-950/mt levels, a gain of Euro (+20/mt) from the previous week.
Ethylene feedstock spot prices were assessed at Euro 785-795/mt FD North West Europe levels, higher by Euro (+25/mt) from last week.
