Styrene monomer (SM) prices rise in parts of Asia
On Wednesday, SM prices edged higher in China, while they remained steady in Korea.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1315-1325/mt levels, a rise of USD (+5/mt) from Tuesday’s assessed levels. Prices moved higher due to bullish upstream benzene feedstock values and limited supply in the region.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1360-1370/mt levels, unchanged from the previous day.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene feedstock prices were assessed at USD 1155-1165/mt levels, a day-on-day gain of USD (+10/mt).
