Ethylene prices rise in parts of Asia
On Wednesday, ethylene prices moved higher in North East Asia, while they remained stable in Southeast Asia.
CFR North East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1375-1385/mt levels, a gain of USD (+10/mt) from Tuesday’s assessed levels. Price gains were primarily driven by rising upstream energy costs and tight supply in the region.
CFR South East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1405-1415/mt levels, rolled over day-on-day. Prices remained stable as market participants exercised caution, limiting buying activity across the region.
