Ethylene prices decline in Asia

On Monday, despite bullish upstream energy values, ethylene prices were assessed lower in Asia.

Prices moved lower on bearish buying sentiment as market participants remained cautious and adopted a wait-and-watch approach amid volatile geopolitical conditions in West Asia, while producers reduced prices ahead of the May Day holiday to ease inventory pressure.

CFR South East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1385-1395/mt levels, down USD (-20/mt) from last Friday's assessed levels.

CFR North East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1355-1365/mt levels, a decrease of USD (-20/mt) from last Friday.
