Styrene monomer (SM) prices rise in China
On Tuesday, SM prices trended higher in China, while they remained stable in Korea.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1305-1315/mt levels, up USD (+5/mt) from Monday’s assessed levels. The price increase was driven by higher benzene feedstock costs and improved regional demand.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1330-1340/mt levels, steady from the previous day.
Meanwhile, benzene feedstock FOB Korea prices were assessed at USD 1125-1135/mt levels, a day-on-day increase of USD (+10/mt).
