Styrene monomer (SM) prices move lower in Asia
On Wednesday, SM prices in Asia trended downward due to weaker upstream energy values and lower benzene feedstock costs.
The price decline was further driven by subdued market conditions across the Asian region.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1320-1330/mt levels, down USD (-10/mt) from Tuesday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1295-1305/mt levels, a fall of USD (-10/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, benzene feedstock prices were assessed at USD 1115-1125/mt FOB Korea levels, a day-on-day drop of USD (-10/mt).
