Styrene monomer (SM) prices march higher in Asia
On Wednesday, SM prices rose in Asia amid rising upstream energy rates.
The price increase was further driven by higher benzene feedstock values and improved regional buying sentiment.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1200-1210/mt levels, an increase of USD (+20/mt) from Tuesday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1180-1190/mt levels, a gain of USD (+15/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene feedstock prices were assessed at USD 1000-1010/mt levels, a day-on-day rise of USD (+15/mt).
