Styrene monomer (SM) prices increase in Asia
On Tuesday, Asian SM prices gained due to stronger upstream energy and benzene feedstock values.
Styrene prices moved higher, supported by firm feedstock costs and limited supply, despite cautious downstream buying across key Asian markets.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1180-1190/mt levels, up USD (+10/mt) from Monday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1165-1175/mt levels, an increase of USD (+10/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene feedstock prices were assessed at USD 985-995/mt levels, a day-on-day gain of USD (+15/mt).
