Styrene monomer (SM) prices march higher in Asia
On Tuesday, despite weaker upstream energy values, SM prices increased across Asia.
Styrene prices moved higher, supported by firm benzene feedstock costs and limited supply, despite cautious downstream buying across key Asian markets.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1220-1230/mt levels, up USD (+20/mt) from Monday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1200-1210/mt levels, a gain of USD (+10/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene feedstock prices were assessed at USD 1020-1030/mt levels, a day-on-day rise of USD (+10/mt).
