This week, LLDPE film grade prices in Asia were mixed, with Far East Asia and Southeast Asia holding steady amid holiday-related subdued activity, while South Asian markets moved higher on firmer import offers and elevated freight costs.
An industry source in Asia, on condition of anonymity, informed a Polymerupdate team member, "LLDPE prices were mixed across Asia. Prices remained stable in China, where market activity was subdued as buyers stayed away for the National Day holiday, while Southeast Asian markets also held steady amid the holiday-related slowdown and limited offers. In South Asia, prices increased on higher import offers, although buyers resisted the elevated levels and remained cautious about making fresh purchases. Import offers were raised from previous levels due to limited shipment availability and higher freight costs, while buyers continued to favour locally available material. Domestic producers also raised their prices, providing additional support to the regional market. Overall, market participants maintained a cautious stance amid volatility in upstream costs and continued concerns over shipment availability."
In Far East Asia, LLDPE Film grade prices were assessed at USD 1080 to 1170/mt CFR levels, rolled over from the previous week. Competitive offers were heard relative to Middle Eastern producer levels. US-origin material was heard to be on offer at USD 1050/mt CFR levels, while a Middle Eastern producer has offered material at USD 1150/mt levels. Bidding was heard at USD 1070/mt levels, as market activity remained subdued due to the National Day holiday.

In South East Asia, LLDPE Film grade prices were assessed at USD 1230 to 1330/mt CFR levels, holding steady from the previous week. The holiday impact and limited offers in the region appear to have kept the market quiet, with participants adopting a wait-and-watch approach.

In India, LLDPE Film grade prices were assessed at USD 1300 to 1350/mt CFR levels, moving higher, USD (+10/+30/mt) compared to the prior week. A Middle Eastern producer offered its LLDPE film grade at USD 1300/mt levels, with some deals concluded at these levels. A producer from Saudi Arabia offered its LLDPE film grade at USD 1350/mt CFR levels. A trader in India informed that US-origin cargoes were heard offered at USD 1270 to 1280/mt levels, although no deals were concluded at the given levels.

A domestic industry source informed a Polymerupdate team member, “Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced LLDPE prices, effective October 1, 2026. LLDPE Rotomoulding grade prices were rolled over, while LLDPE High Flow grade prices were raised by Rs.2/kg basic. All other LLDPE grade prices were increased by Rs.1.50/kg basic.”
In Pakistan, LLDPE Film grade prices were assessed at USD 1330 to 1380/mt CFR levels, firming, USD (+30/mt) week-on-week. A Middle Eastern producer was heard to have offered LLDPE film grades in the range of USD 1330 to 1380/mt levels.
In Sri Lanka, LLDPE Film grade prices were assessed at USD 1360 to 1400/mt CFR levels, gaining USD (+20/mt) from the previous week. Overseas producers offered their LLDPE film grades in the range of USD 1360 to 1400/mt levels.
In Bangladesh, LLDPE Film grade prices were assessed at USD 1370 to 1400/mt CFR levels, edging higher, USD (+20/NC/mt) week-on-week. A producer from Saudi Arabia offered at USD 1370/mt levels, while another producer from the Middle East offered LLDPE film grade at USD 1400/mt levels.
On the feedstock side, ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1145 to 1155/mt CFR North East Asia levels, reflecting a decline of USD (-40/mt) from the previous week. CFR Southeast Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 1085 to 1095/mt levels, easing USD (-50/mt) week-on-week. The softening in upstream ethylene values appears to reflect weaker regional sentiment, although the impact on LLDPE film grade pricing remained limited amid the holiday-driven lull in Northeast and Southeast Asian trade.
