Styrene monomer (SM) prices tumble in Asia
On Thursday, Asian SM prices declined sharply in line with weaker upstream energy rates.
Lower benzene feedstock values and bearish buying momentum across major regional markets further supported the price drop.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1305-1315/mt levels, sharply down by USD (-50/mt) from Wednesday.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1245-1255/mt levels, a plunge of USD (-50/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene feedstock prices were assessed at USD 1025-1035/mt levels, a sharp day-on-day drop of USD (-55/mt).
