Trinseo’s Depolymerization Plant Earns ISO 9001 Certification

20 Feb 2026

Trinseo’s polymethyl methacrylate depolymerization plant in Rho, Italy, has achieved its first ISO 9001:2015 certification, a globally recognized standard for Quality Management Systems. ISO 9001 certification is awarded to organizations that deliver consistent quality, efficiency and a strong customer focus, while driving continuous improvement. This distinguished achievement reflects Trinseo’s disciplined approach to quality management principles, risk-focused decision making and operational excellence throughout its Rho facility.

As a plant dedicated to converting PMMA waste into recycled methyl methacrylate using depolymerization technology, this achievement underscores Trinseo’s ability to produce high-quality recycled monomers that meet the performance needs of demanding applications.

“This certification is an important milestone for our Rho facility and a strong validation of Trinseo's ongoing commitment to maintaining the high standards our customers and partners expect,” said Aldo Zanetti, Trinseo’s Global Sustainability Business Leader. “Congratulations to our entire team at Rho for this significant accomplishment.”

In addition to the Rho plant, the Company’s facilities in Mussolente, Italy, and Saint-Avold, France, as well as Bristol, Pennsylvania, and Louisville, Kentucky, in the U.S., also hold ISO 9001:2015 certifications. Trinseo’s corporate certification covers more than a dozen of its other facilities globally.

Trinseo transitioned to the latest ISO standards in 2018, becoming one of the first global companies at the time to serve customers based on the integrated ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System.
