Opportunities to meet new customers, expand networks, and enter larger markets are crucial for MSMEs to advance in their businesses. Throughout the first half of 2026, Pertamina-assisted MSMEs participating in various regional, national, and international exhibitions recorded a turnover of Rp8.57 billion.
This achievement demonstrates how market access can open new opportunities for MSMEs. Beyond generating transactions, various exhibitions provide a platform for them to introduce their products, meet potential buyers and business partners, establish collaborative networks among MSMEs, and test their product competitiveness in the broader market.
One such example is Sambal Ning Niniek. The business, founded by Sri Wahyuni, continues to expand its market through various exhibition opportunities and business development programs.
"For me, every stage we've gone through is part of a continuous growth process. Pertamina's role in Sambal Ning Niniek's journey has been extraordinary. We received Rp 35 million in capital assistance in 2023, which has been very helpful in strengthening our operations and increasing production capacity. Being selected as one of the 30 finalists for the 2025 Pertamina Aggregator competition also motivates us to continue learning and developing this business," said Sri Wahyuni.
Sri Wahyuni said that training through the UMK Academy and the opportunity to participate in various exhibitions helped develop her business capacity and expand her marketing network.
Behind the success of MSMEs like Sambal Ning Niniek, market access requires business and product readiness. Everything from legality and certification, product quality, marketing capabilities, and business management are crucial for MSMEs to seize available market opportunities.
By the end of June 2026, 2,822 certifications had been provided to Pertamina-assisted MSMEs. Certification helps businesses meet legal requirements and product standards while also boosting consumer confidence, enabling them to reach a wider market.
Strengthening the capabilities of business actors is also carried out through 579 training courses held through Pertamina's BUMN House, covering digital marketing, legality, improving product quality and competitiveness, and business management.
Meanwhile, to open market access, fostered MSMEs have been facilitated to participate in 414 regional, national, and international exhibitions, including Food & Hospitality Indonesia, the Indonesia International Furniture Expo (IFEX), the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), and INACRAFT 2026.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, said the support is aimed at providing provisions and opening up more opportunities for MSMEs to develop their businesses independently.
"Behind every MSME product is sweat and hard work. However, their progress is often hampered by limited space for growth. Understanding this situation, Pertamina is here to provide more than just training. We help MSMEs complete certification and legal requirements, open market access, expand networks, and create new opportunities so their businesses can truly grow," said Baron.
According to Baron, the momentum of National MSME Day also serves as a reminder that MSME development requires an ecosystem that allows businesses to continue growing. Within this ecosystem, Pertamina plays an enabling role through mentoring, capacity building, certification, and opening market access.
These efforts also support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth and Goal 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. MSME development also aligns with the third Asta Cita through strengthening entrepreneurship, the creative industry, and creating quality jobs.
Through an increasingly open ecosystem, it is hoped that MSMEs will not only be able to increase sales, but also grow into stronger, more competitive businesses, and be able to expand their markets independently.
