As we’ve become a more global business, the challenges and opportunities we face have evolved, so today we are making our sustainability action plan simpler, clearer, and more focused.
This sharper focus will allow us to make meaningful progress over the next five years as we continue to deliver on our growth strategy. In the longer-term we aim to go above and beyond our 2030 targets and move faster through innovation and collaboration.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners updates sustainability action plan to sharpen focus and support long-term delivery
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has shared an update on its sustainability progress and action plan, This is Forward, following the company’s expansion into the Philippines.
The company reaffirmed its long-term sustainability strategy and aim to reach net zero emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 2040[1] - while sharpening its focus with updated 2030 targets across four key priorities: Climate, Water and Nature, Packaging, and Communities.
In 2025, CCEP grew its business while reducing its absolute GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 18.9% since 2019. The equivalent of 75.7% of the bottles and cans it sold were collected for recycling, and 45.9% of the PET used to make its plastic bottles was recycled PET.[2] It also returned 105% of the water used in its finished drinks to nature and communities, and since 2023, has supported the skills development of 146,100 people.
The updates to CCEP’s plan reflect the company’s transformation in recent years - from a European bottler to a global organisation operating across Europe and Asia Pacific - matching CCEP’s scale, market realities, and rapidly evolving regulatory expectations.
They are also designed to build on learnings from ongoing sustainability initiatives, deeper market understanding, and clearer visibility of what can be delivered at scale.
The plan sets out six 2030 targets, that cover CCEP’s business footprint across Europe and Asia Pacific, each underpinned by a clear 2030 roadmap that ensures the plan is ambitious, credible, and focused on delivery.
Updated targets
-GHG Emissions Reduction: By 2030, reduce absolute GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 30% vs 2019.[3]
-High Risk Locations: By 2030, return at least 85% of the total water used at high-risk locations, at an aggregate level, to nature and communities (100% by 2035).
-Water Replenish: By 2030, return at least 100% of the water used in our finished drinks, at an aggregate level, to nature and communities.
-Collection: By 2030, collect and recycle the equivalent of at least 85% of the bottles and cans CCEP sells.
-Recycled Plastic: By 2030, at least 30% of the PET used by CCEP to make plastic bottles will be recycled PET.
-Skills Development: By 2030, provide skills development opportunities for at least 500,000 people, delivered through CCEP’s programmes and partnerships.
As we’ve become a more global business, the challenges and opportunities we face have evolved, so we are making our sustainability action plan simpler, clearer, and more focused.
This sharper focus will allow us to make meaningful progress over the next five years as we continue to deliver on our growth strategy. In the longer-term we aim to go above and beyond our 2030 targets and move faster through innovation and collaboration.
Sustainability is integral to CCEP’s core business strategy, backed by €385 million of planned investment in decarbonisation initiatives between 2025 and 2027. It is also embedded into its day-to-day business including a long-term incentive plan for senior leaders. The plan is underpinned by innovation and collaboration across CCEP’s value chain. This includes:
-Detailed carbon reduction roadmaps for all major markets;-
-Investment in potentially transformative technologies to reduce emissions, such as AI-enabled agricultural innovation and ultra-efficient industrial heat pumps;
-Joint investments in PET recycling plants in Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines;
-Investment in community-based water replenishment projects, working with NGOs, local governments, community organisations and The Coca-Cola Company;
-Skills programmes supporting employability, SMEs, and communities across Europe and Asia Pacific; and
-Partnerships with suppliers to drive sustainability progress, such as a sustainability-linked supply chain finance programme.
CCEP also recognises the importance of collaboration with industry partners, policymakers and NGOs to help accelerate the external factors that will be critical to delivering progress. This includes working to deliver enabling legislation that will support higher collection rates (via well-designed Deposit Return Schemes and Extended Producer Responsibility schemes), access to high-quality recycled materials, and the widespread availability of renewable electricity.
