Ethylene prices trend higher in Asia
Last week, despite bearish naphtha values, ethylene prices inched higher in the Asian region.
An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, “The price rise was driven by tight product availability and stronger regional demand trends.”

CFR South East Asia ethylene prices were assessed at USD 680–690/mt levels, a week-on-week rise of USD (+10/mt).
FOB Korea ethylene prices were assessed at USD 655–665/mt levels while FOB Japan prices were assessed at USD 650–660/mt levels, both up USD (+10/mt) from the previous week.
