Styrene Monomer (SM) prices march higher in Asia
On Thursday, SM prices moved higher across Asia, tracking firmer upstream energy values.
Styrene prices further increased on stronger benzene feedstock costs, despite limited buying activity across key Asian markets.
FOB Korea SM prices were assessed at USD 1370-1380/mt levels, sharply higher by USD (+50/mt) from Wednesday’s assessed levels.
CFR China SM prices were assessed at USD 1330-1340/mt levels, a surge of USD (+50/mt) from the previous day.
Meanwhile, FOB Korea benzene prices were assessed at USD 1165-1175/mt levels, a sharp day-on-day gain of USD (+35/mt).
