Styrene monomer (SM) prices drop in Korea
On Monday, SM prices fell in Korea, while remaining stable in China.
FOB Korea SM prices on Monday were assessed at the USD 1020-1030/mt levels, down USD (-5/mt) from Friday's assessed levels. An industry source in Asia informed a Polymerupdate team member, "Prices edged lower due to bearish buying sentiments in the Asian market."
CFR China SM prices on Monday were assessed at the USD 1040-1050/mt levels, steady from Friday.
Meanwhile, upstream benzene prices on Monday were assessed at the USD 900-910/mt FOB Korea levels, unchanged from Friday.
